1. University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH)

UAH’s Professional Development Solutions offers a wide range of non-credit certificates and short courses covering topics in engineering, management, information technology, cybersecurity, data analytics, as well as general professional skills and leadership development. Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)
OLLI is dedicated to the education and learning of men and women ages 50 and older. With classes ranging from the basics of French, German, and Spanish to the introduction to Tai Chi, yoga, acting, and more, just about anyone is sure to find something of interest.
Additionally, OLLI offers bonus and special events that are a one-day-only commitment. Most courses and events are low cost. 2. Alabama A&M University
If you are located north of Huntsville City, you might want to keep an eye on the Center for Extended Studies (CES) at A&M University. CES is aiming to deliver programs of lifelong learning, through innovative programs that respond to our community’s needs. They will have no specific admission requirements, but there will be nominal fees related to each course or program. Check this site regularly for a list of programs and events as they become available.
3. Huntsville Hospital’s Corporate University
Huntsville Hospital’s Corporate University offers training and continuing education opportunities for physicians, nurses, and other clinical professionals, as well as community education programs on the most currently relevant health-related topics. Corporate University is within the Huntsville Hospital Campus in the Dowdle Center on the corner of Gallatin Street and Governors Drive.
Education opportunities include clinical and medical education, conferences, residencies, and CPR & advanced life support classes. Many of the conferences in 2022 surround trauma nursing and emergency care, including the Third Annual Rocket City Emergency Medical Virtual 3-Day Conference on March 29-31, 2022. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid could save a life or land you a job. The American Red Cross offers in person and online classes surrounding the latest proven techniques for care and the science behind them.
The Red Cross offers courses in baby and pediatric first aid, adult first aid, CPR, AED, and courses that successively build on each of these skillsets. These emergency-focused classes are open to anyone of any age in Huntsville. To boot, you can request private trainings for yourself or a group. 7. Calhoun Community College
Looking to brush up on, or go back to, the basics? Calhoun might be just right for you. They offer free, self-paced courses in English as a second language, Microsoft Office, as well as Career Pathway Programs for learners in North Alabama.
