For tasty libations and beautiful scenery, head to Baker and Able — named after the first two monkeys to go into space. This rooftop bar sits at the top of 106 Jefferson hotel in Downtown Huntsville. Its unique location allows you to enjoy the beautiful Rocket City skyline while sipping on expertly crafted cocktails. They also have an extensive beer and wine menu, and if you are feeling peckish, be sure to try some of their “small bites.” The artisanal B&A flavored popcorn seems to be a favorite shareable.

The Standard Social Market
Get your after-work drink on and pick up take home goodies when you visit The Standard Social Market. This downtown bodega and artisanal market has set hours throughout the week for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Mazzara’s Vinoteca
For a more upscale Happy Hour event, visit Mazzara’s Vinoteca. This Italian restaurant is located in the historic Humphreys-Rogers House in Downtown Huntsville. While they are known for their fresh, made-from-scratch pastas, their charcuterie boards and tapas make excellent after-work snacks. Pair it with one of their select wines for the best results. In recent years, Stovehouse has become Huntsville’s premiere destination for food, drinks, shopping, and leisure. While the spot is home to many exciting businesses, pay particular attention to Pourhouse and The Brewer’s Cooperative for happy hour outings.
The Pourhouse is home to Huntsville’s first rooftop bar and offers a laid-back vibe perfect for destressing after a long day of grinding. Hang out upstairs or on the patio with a glass of wine, a craft beer, or a specialty cocktail while you listen to live music or play a game of trivia.
While the Pourhouse may have a rooftop bar, The Brewer’s Cooperative boasts the state’s longest bar. Everyone’s favorite wine and cheese shop, Domaine South, now has a second location overlooking Big Spring Park. A great place to stop for happy hour downtown is Melt — located at The Avenue. Most nights of the week you can expect to hear great live music or take part in free-to-join games like bingo or trivia. On top of the fun atmosphere, they also make delicious food. Share some Food Truck Nachos or the Picnic Duo (a chicken salad and pimento cheese dip served with crackers) with friends, but we don’t blame you for ordering the Mac ‘N Egg Roll for yourself. They also have a variety of toasted sandwiches; the Buffalo Chicken and Classic Grilled Cheese are two favorites.
