Blue Summit Supplies Goes to C3

Last week, Blue Summit Supplies jet-setted up to New York City to attend Conductor’s annual C3 conference.

It was a busy week chock full of learning, walking, and meeting interesting new people from all types of organizations. We met sunglass designers, fertility clinicians, and heaps of SEO professionals.

A few of the standouts were the talented and successful keynote speakers who spoke on everything from the future of marketing to the value of real connection.

Lakshmi Rengarajan, director of workplace connection at WeWork, kicked things off by emphasizing the importance of human connection in an age of superficial tech connection. This set the tone for the rest of the conference, which put an emphasis on authentic connection over marketing efforts.

After, Seth Besmertnik unveiled Conductor’s new offerings, which included Orchestra and SmartBriefs.

Julie Rice, founder of SoulCycle, detailed her meteoric rise as an entrepreneur and shared how she marketed in a time before social media using everything from branded t-shirts to hand-painted signs.

Gary

We also heard from Gary Vaynerchuk who told us in plain language no one wants to be marketed to – no one. Instead, people want interesting, good content, and speed is the single variable in business.

And, last but not least, Rand Fishkin encouraged companies to rely on ‘influence, not influencers’ by creating honest, organic content audiences could (and would) relate to, instead of paying strangers to shill your stuff.

So what does all this mean for Blue Summit Supplies – and, more importantly, for you?

The future of Blue Summit Supplies

It means we’re back and more determined than ever to provide you, our sphere of influence, with quality stuff.

Right now, this stuff is mostly limited to blog posts. We love sharing what we’ve been up to and lessons we’ve learned, as well as helpful guides to things we’re experts on (like whiteboards or scissors or office culture). We also love to connect with everyone on social media, where we’re active on Twitter and Instagram.

Soon, however, we have plans to expand – a podcast focusing on small business is in the works, featuring interviews from successful entrepreneurs like our own Owen Franklin and other prominent figures who’ve turned coal into diamonds.

Larry and Laurel

We’re also taking Gary Vee’s words to heart and ensuring speed is the name of the game. We want to get stuff to you when you want it, though not at the expense of quality. It’s gotta be fast, and it’s gotta be good.

With all these big ideas and high goals, we want to hear from you – what do you want more of?

Are there blog posts of ours you love, or maybe some topics you’re tired of? Do you have anything you’d love to hear on our on-the-horizon podcast? Perhaps you’d make a good guest!

Here at Blue Summit Supplies, we know it takes a village to create something worthwhile. We need you, our sphere of influence, to help shape us into something great. Now is the time to speak up – we’d love to hear from you.

Shoot an email to Grace, our content marketing manager, with any questions, suggestions, or just to chat. You can find her at grace@franklincreativesolutions.com.

Until next time!
